YardMinto helps people plan small-space gardens: choose containers and tools, estimate growing mix, prepare a material checklist and contact independent local providers in the United States. Mulch, gravel and topsoil calculators support larger material jobs too.
What you can plan
Explore 18 container types, 18 tools and 18 landscape material types. These are guides, not retailer stock or tested product rankings. Round, tapered and rectangular container calculations use internal dimensions and actual fill depth.
Combine up to 20 areas, calculate volume, and compare whole bags against bulk material rounded to your supplier’s sales increment. Delivery, minimum orders and material tax are included when you enter them. Save a browser copy or download a project backup.
How we make estimates transparent
Every result comes from the measurements, prices and allowances you enter. We publish our formulas, unit definitions and assumptions. Worked examples are checked against the calculation engine, and automated tests cover purchase rounding, conversions and price comparisons.
YardMinto does not provide independent soil testing, engineering specifications or a live retailer quote. Planting notes link to university extension resources. There is no claim of professional horticultural review.
Your project stays with you
Saved plans live in your browser, and shared links carry a copy of the project. Planning does not require an account and does not automatically sync across devices. Providers use a separate email account to manage a public listing. Read the privacy details before sharing names or prices.
Found a result that looks wrong?
Check the units, additional depth, bag volume and supplier’s bulk increment. Save a JSON backup so the exact inputs can be reproduced, then check the method against your product label and supplier quote. A public support contact has not been configured for this prelaunch project.
